JEAN ROUCH, REGARDS PERSANS
During the 1970s Jean Rouch, French ethnologist and filmmaker, visited Iran on several occasions. Whilst making a first-ever film in Isfahan he discovered the traditional Persian passion play: the Ta´zieh. He left his mark on the country and his vision continues to influence an entire generation of Iranian film directors.
