Nothing is lost... everything is transformed

Each day, new products appear on our store shelves. However, these items which make life so much easier for us are disappearing almost as quickly as they appear. The public authorities are still not sure how to deal with the thousands of tonnes of waste which have accumulated. Landfill sites are overflowing while incinerators generate pollution. Recycling has therefore become a necessity. Collective sorting systems are operational everywhere throughout the western world. In the short term, we need ingenious entrepreneurs to introduce innovative collection systems and to build awareness among local populations.

New Caledonia seen from the sky - Sayings of the Territory

They call it the Territory. Still more words tell you much about this country. As if this confetti of the Republic, on the other side of the world from metropolitan France, had its own vocabulary. So, under the letter C, you have Caldoche. They're white and have lived in these mountainous lands for several generations. Under the letter C, we have Canaque, which is also written with two K's... as in Kanakie. They were the first inhabitants of New Caledonia. They hunt, fish and live in tribes: the other face of this New Caledonia that reminded James Cook, the Scotsman, so much of his childhood that he gave it that name. Today, the territory is one giant mountain block, heavy with mines and effort.

        Sharing hope

Failure within the educational system, unemployment, poverty and violence among young people are problems affecting all of the world's nations. However, a number of initiatives have been taken, the aim of which is to help young people to become independent, to get them off the street and to provide them with the tools and resources they need to lead fulfilling and successful lives. Education should not be limited to purely academic preparation. Practical learning also plays a major role, hand-in-hand with cultural and social reality. The younger generation will then be in position to look to new horizons and hope for a better future.
